To all the beautiful ladies of Batch '83,

How should I start? Well?.....WE DID IT! What a FABULOUS reunion! Just as someone's wedding day is always going to be etched in one's memory, our 25th reunion is not going to be too far behind! Not because it was the most ambitious of all the ICAM reunions nor because of the all the pageantry that the event had and the donations that were given (although these definitely were major factors to it's success) but because of the obvious love, care, patience, camaraderie, laughter, tears, heartaches, frustrations, hurtful words, disappointments that went into it's fruition. It brought us together not just as a group of former high school graduates but as a FAMILY. Each one armed with her own story that's 25 years long, yet feeling not a day has passed since we last stepped out of the gates of our beloved school. I'm sure all of us that were there felt that special "something". For the ones that were not able to make it to the affair, you were all with us in spirit. We missed you and we knew we were in your thoughts that day. It definitely was a once in a lifetime event and I'm so glad I was there to be apart of it. Our barkadas will always have special places in our hearts, but it was so amazing how we came together as one last July 13th. Everyone was sincerely excited to see familiar faces that 25 years ago one might not have paid much attention to. The event brought out our maturity and at the same time our child-likeness with the bear hugs and kisses, hi fives, roaring laughter and exaggerated waves.

To the organizing committee, Cyn and the core group you all did an AWESOME job! Thank you for making the event spectacular yet very touching. I guess the outcome made up for all the "blood, sweat and tears", right?

To all that performers, you still have it in you girls! Don't give in yet to the hot flashes that might be lurking around the corner. I'm hesitant to mention names because I don't want to miss out on anybody, but I have to give a bow to Rosem who did a MARVELOUS job!
To all that contributed concepts and ideas ang galing n'yo, you've thought of everything! I particularly love the pinning ceremony and the title of the affair.

The food and favors were great! (ehem Dra. Jean). The handling of finances were meticulous, thanks to Joy and Chet. The souvenir program was well thought of, Thelms and committee. Thank you Arlene, for you tireless efforts. Wilms and Sweet the invitation was very nice, good job! Chambie I know you did a lot because you were all over the place that night! Cecil for the wonderful Mass. And Iam for.......? just kidding, the skit!

There's so many more of you worth mentioning, and to you all my sincerest thanks. ALL OF US made it possible no matter how big or small the effort was. Because the absence of one would have made it less of a success.

If July 13th made us all look back and made us thank our Alma Mater for helping us get to where we are, SUBIC was just plain awesome, all girls FUN!!!!!

My hectic itinerary almost made me skip that, but I'm sure glad I went. Just like in the olden days, the outings we used to go at the end of the school year. The day tour was fantastic. The dinner was hilarious at least at our table (the other table was more quite than us!). And I can't believe that at 41 I had a sleep over and shared a joined-together- twin bed with my dearest friends Tess, Jean and Joy. With Ms. Iam on the floor in perfect snoring harmony with Tess, just like in their Glee Club days. Sr. Elvira would have been so amused! Maritz, Tess and Cecille, didn't Subic make our trips twice worth it?

The ICAM tour was lovely. Sr's. Yoly and Lee were very welcoming. Yes, ICAM has changed quite a bit but definitely for the better! The students still look very decent and appropriate ( still meeting the "ICAM standard" that we're so proud of). And for those that were disappointed when it was made co-ed (myself included) I could honestly say that the boys that we saw looked well-mannered and well-groomed. So overall I truly feel that ICAM is moving in the right direction.

It was a long two year wait and anticipation but it was worth it. ICAM BATCH '83, what can I say? WE ROCK!!!!!!

Looking forward to the future,
Beth L. Babao

I think no batch can top our 25th anniversary celebration. Thank you so much dear batchmates for all your effort and preparations, special mention to Cynthia and the core group girls... you know who you are and the rest of our batchmates that attended the special night, the Subic outing ( so sorry I missed Ocean Adventure... ) and the ICAM Tour. I really had a wonderful time and I am glad that I came home for it. It was really nice to see all of you after 25 years, I think we all aged beautifully. I will forever cherish our special night, the beautiful medley that you all sang and of course our school song... can't believe I still know the first half of it by heart, to be honest I got teary eyed.

Thank you for making our journey home memorable, its good to re-connect with you girls even for just a short time. I hope we all continue to re-connect and update each other through this site and emails. I don't know when we will see each other again but I hope it won't take another 25 years... i love you all!!!

Hi ghels! Congratulations! Mrs. Garcia said that we had a very nice reunion! One of a kind daw! AND AMONG ALL REUNIONS...THIS ONE IS THE MOST ATTENDED SILVER JUBILARIAN CELEBRATION! Sana din daw...nagperform din yung mga anak nyo sa program. Pero overall...we excelled daw.
Nwayz, Tess and I visited her 2 days after our batch reunion. She is now working at the Parish Office of Our Lady of Pentecost Church at Loyola Heights QC. The church is walking distance in our place at Xavierville Subd. So for those of you who want to pay her a visit, you can catch her 9 am to 5 pm Tuesday to Sunday. Her day off is every Monday. Cyn, probably, we can also give her a token of appreciation. Thanks and  God bless.

Way to Go!

Hello to everyone. Many things had been said about the reunion. Kahit medyo late, here’s a few more…

Our grand reunion was not just good…it was excellent! It was fabulous! Every detail was meticulously taken care of….the mass, the food, production numbers, performers, the souvenir book, décor, legacy turnover, the whole event!

Mass – good choice of celebrant and mass songs
Food – may variety at masarap!
Souvenir book – a keepsake we will treasure for many years
Batch 83’s production numbers – Well-practiced & cooperative ang mga performers kaya naman hit na hit!
Invitation/Programme – very professional at artistic ang pagkagawa
Attendees/Guests – There was full support from the sisters, teachers, other batches, and of course, from our very own batchmates. Everyone in our batch looked so pretty and elegant (especially under dim lighting..hehe)
Legacy turnover – Daming feedback na very generous ang batch natin towards ICAM…and rightly so!
Overall program –All the details fell into their rightful place that resulted in one splendid and memorable event! This attests to the strong leadership and commitment of Cyn and her CG (core group!)

And then there was the Subic outing…

Those two days were FUN-tastic! Picture-an, kainan, tawanan, hagikhikan, chikahan, unahan sa pag-save ng kwarto, pila sa banyo, karaoke-an, tulog sa sahig, puyatan, taking-a-shower in the dark, shopping, pasahan ng hair-dryer, taking turns sa mirror, etc. etc.

At the end of it all, we can say that despite our imperfections and shortcomings, and no matter the distance, place, time, or age, we remain a happy, solid batch. O di ba?! Way to go, batch 83!
